interview?

i've been thinking about the interview portion of the project..and i have been having a little trouble with it...

Because of the type of project i am doing..im not really sure what i should ask in the interview or who i should ask...i know everything about my friends and their opinions on it and everything..

i was thinking about possibly interviewing a middle school teacher as she has expressed opinions to us on why she let us pass the notebook in class..but im not sure if that makes sense for the project...

Since your project is somewhat different from those of others who are researching family or organizational histories you may want to discuss your options with Mr. Murphy. I think your idea to interview the middle school teacher is an interesting one and would definitely add another important point of view to your history of the notebooks.

Even though you were involved in the creation of the notebooks and know the details they contain, you still need to convey that content (story) to others. It would be great if you could interview the main participants to get different insights, feelings, thoughts, emotions, etc., as to what stories these notebooks tell about you and your friends, not just personally or socially, but about what its like growing up in New Haven, being a junior/senior high school student, peer pressure, social and community life, etc.

You could also interview someone who knew you and your friends at the time you created this notebook and get a different perspective on this activity. It could be your teacher or a parent...
